Majestic, snow-capped mountain peaks, cascading waterfalls and lush, green valley sides…

The unique natural surroundings of the Geirangerfjord were created through a series of ice ages, when the glaciers carved out deep fjords between the high mountains. This natural beauty has meant that the area constantly features on lists of the most spectacular places in the world.

Impressive waterfalls, such as the famous waterfalls The Seven Sisters, The Groom and The Bridal Veil, plunge into the fjord, shrouded in a feathery mist.

In addition to the rainbows from the waterfalls and the beautiful views, there are plenty of opportunities for hiking and other outdoor fun.

There are many local small-scale producers of food and drink in the area. This includes Geiranger Bryggeri and the small café Hellesylt Boutique & Bar, which has a very distinctive menu.
