The hotel with a view of beautiful Geiranger

Hotel Utsikten is located near the popular viewpoint Flydalsjuvet (320 meters above sea level), one of Norway’s most photographed tourist spots. Here, you can enjoy the view of Geiranger and Geirangerfjorden, surrounded by snow-covered mountains.

The charming hotel, built in 1891, has only 29 small rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors, with no elevator. The hotel also has a restaurant and a lobby bar. The rooms at the hotel feature comfortable beds, cozy duvets, hotel pillows, a coffee machine, and free Wi-Fi. Despite its modest size, several of the rooms offer fantastic views of Geirangerfjorden.

Geiranger is one of Norway’s most popular destinations, with nearly 900,000 visitors each year. The village has around 250 permanent residents (as of 2016), and the fjord with its impressive farms is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site (since 2005). National Geographic has named the Norwegian fjords as the most beautiful tourist destinations in the world in both 2004 and 2009. Geiranger is the epitome of “The Fjords.”

The summer hotel will reopen in the spring of 2024

The hotel has a total of 29 hotel rooms which are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor. The hotel rooms are equipped with good beds, delicious duvets, hotel pillows, coffee machine and free Wi-Fi. The rooms are small and charming, with several rooms having a fantastic view of the Geiranger Fjord.
